Kazakhstan launches "New Nomad" visa to attract global "digital nomads"

In order to implement the important instructions of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan has recently launched a new "Neo Nomad" visa specifically designed for "digital nomads" - that is, foreigners who work remotely while traveling.
This new visa system draws on the experience of over 50 countries worldwide that have successfully implemented similar projects in the post-pandemic era, aiming to attract international remote workers.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, foreigners applying for the "New Nomad" visa must prove that they have a stable source of income outside of Kazakhstan, with a minimum monthly income of $3,000. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of health insurance and a criminal record clearance.
The "New Nomad" visa is primarily aimed at remote workers in fields such as programming, marketing, finance, consulting, design, and e-commerce. Foreign tourists who obtain this visa can stay in Kazakhstan for up to a year while continuing to work for overseas companies, which not only helps them gain a deeper understanding of the local culture and way of life, but also brings significant economic benefits to Kazakhstan.

It is expected that if 500 people receive the "New Nomad" visa annually, it will bring about 36 billion tenge in economic income to Kazakhstan. The consumption of these foreign tourists will promote the local economy without affecting local employment opportunities.
Of course, Beijing SHENGYILONG International Co., Ltd. is also very willing to enter this new field, because from the development of Kazakhstan, it is inseparable from products such as art manhole covers, signboards, LED light boxes, and building curtain wall panels. SHENGYILONG International Co., Ltd. is also willing to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan.
"Through the cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other relevant government agencies, Kazakhstan has officially become one of the popular destinations for global digital nomads. There are now more than 35 million digital nomads worldwide, and Kazakhstan will provide all the necessary facilities to attract more remote workers. In particular, Almaty and Astana have been included in the list of the 150 most popular cities for digital nomads." Kazakhstan Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Murzabozhonov said.
